About Jen
Currently a web developer for the Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM), managing 4-6 sites. She migrated the largest site to date: 200+ pages, 500+ posts WordPress site from a different outside consulting group from custom CMS. The site consists of Kadence Pro blocks, Gutenberg blocks, job postings template and form, complex Formidable Forms conference exhibitors and sponsors form, blog templates, web graphics, icon libraries, animation, and video editing. Other experiences are in Divi builder, CQEngage, KOHA, Highcharts.js, D3.js, and other web dev tools.
Before ASFPM, Jen gained experience in graph design, web design, web development, social media management, and print marketing materials while at JenGraph Designs. She did some outside consultant work for Minuteman Press, Next Level Creative, and local area businesses. In 2008, she worked at Capital Newspapers, Inc. for six years as a web designer utilizing HTML, CSS, PHP, JS, and jQuery. She worked with BLOX, Drupal, Upickem, Shoutlet, Caspio, WhatCounts, Sharepoint, and other web dev tools.
In 1987, while attending Madison Area Technical College, she was offered a job as a typesetter at a printing shop in Lodi, Wisconsin. There she discovered the world of desktop publishing and later graphic design. Jen had worked in various print shops during those early years. JenGraph Designs was formed in 1997 while raising her children. She worked as a creative director and print designer and later, in 2002, evolved into web design and development, which led her to where she is today.
